🔥 HOME-BUYERS UPDATE ON MORTGAGE STRESS TEST 🔥


As of June 1st, the mortgage stress test rate may be potentially increasing to 5.25% from its current 4.79%.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

That means that effective June 1st, the mortgage amount you may be able to qualify for will possibly be decreasing by approximately 4%.

Moving forward, borrowers would need to prove that their finances can pay for the loan at that higher rate, regardless of what a lender is willing to lend them. This could make it potentially harder to qualify for a home loan, but the hope is that it will help to bring down some of the upward pressure on house prices.
