🚨 BREAKING GOOD NEWS FOR CANADA’S HOUSING MARKET 🍁🏡
RBC is projecting a modest housing market recovery into 2027, with a more promising outlook beginning to take shape.
According to RBC’s forecast:
📈 Housing transactions are expected to rise 6.7% to 483,600 units in 2027
🏠 Benchmark values are projected to edge 0.8% higher to $800,700
There are also signs that conditions are already beginning to improve:
• Resales have risen in each month since April
• Inventory has levelled off
• The pace of price declines is moderating in Canada’s most expensive markets
Robert Hogue, Assistant Chief Economist at RBC Economics, said:
“An improving job market will do wonders for confidence.”
RBC also expects GDP growth to continue through the end of 2027, while the Bank of Canada is forecast to hold its policy rate through the rest of 2026.
