Here are 5 things people get wrong about working with a mortgage agent:

**1. "It costs more."** Nope — my fee is typically paid by the lender, not you.

**2. "My bank will give me the best rate."** Banks only show you their products. I compare dozens of lenders at once.

**3. "I need perfect credit."** There are real solutions for bruised credit, newcomers, and self-employed borrowers that banks rarely mention.
