🏠 GET BACK UP TO $130,000 with Ontario’s Enhanced New Housing Rebate Program!
Have you built or are planning to build a custom home or substantial renovation? If so you could be entitled to receive a generous rebate back from the government!
🏡 Owner-Initiated Custom-Built Homes
To qualify:
✅The home must be your primary residence or a long-term rental.
✅ Construction must actually begin between April 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027 — signing an agreement with a builder alone is not enough. Work such as excavation or foundation must have started.
✅ Construction must be completed by December 31, 2029.
🔨 Substantial Renovations
To qualify:
✅ You must renovate 90% or more of your primary residence, excluding the basement.
✅ Renovation work must begin between April 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027.
✅ You have 2 years from the start date to complete the renovation.
📌 Planning a custom build or major renovation? Understanding the start-date requirements can make a big difference when determining your eligibility for the Ontario Enhanced New Housing Rebate.
