Thank you to all the businesses in the community who help make this event a success every year.
Only 2 more sleeps until the big day, it's time to start sharpening those hooks 🐟🎣

The first 285 kids to register will get one of our annual shirt (based on size availability)
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Norm and Karen from Outdoors Plus the first 150 kids to register will get a $10 Outdoor Plus gift card and a discount code!!
We have 15 fishing rods that have been donated by Karen and Brandon Nimigon from Haliburton Cottage Market to be used at the derby. If you don't have a rod, no worries, you can use one of these!!!
We also have a few boxes or worms.
✨✨We were a little nervous going into last week as donations were slightly down from last year so we reached out to a few more businesses and let me tell you that these individuals and businesses stepped up and with their incredible generosity we were able to finish our shopping and I am more than confident we will be able to make it a memorable year once again.

🎣KIDS FISHING DERBY🎣
Kids Aged 14 & Under
Monday July 1st, 2024
8 am to 11:00 am
(Registration starts @ 7:30 am)
(Registration cut-off @ 10:00 am)
Downtown Minden ( in front of post office)
Need to know:
1) Each participant must be present at the end of the derby to claim a prize (only your biggest fish counts).
2) A parent or legal guardian MUST sign a waiver form for each child to participate.
3) This event encourages a LIVE FISH weigh-in although, the fish that don't survive will still count in the derby. (Judges will have final decision) Please bring your own fishing gear and bucket.
4) It is recommended that each child participating wear a lifejacket. (please bring your own)
5) MNR Rules apply.
