We have had a few clients get text message from ICBC...
ICBC DOES NOT:
**Text customers about driving infractions or debt.
**Request payments by e-transfer through text.
HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF:
**Do not click on links in unsolicited texts.
**Do not provide personal or financial information in response to a text or email.
**Always verify that you are on the correct ICBC website before logging in.
**Do not reply to unknown senders or call phone numbers listed in suspicious texts.
**If you receive a message that appears to be from ICBC and are unsure, call our customer service line at 1-800-663-3051 to confirm.
HOW TO REPORT:
If you have received a phishing text or email, please report it to your local police (non-emergency line) and the Government of Canada's Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501
