Bank of Canada Cuts Overnight Rate by 25 bps to 2.25%. The central bank signalled that this was the last rate cut if its forecast for GDP growth in Q3 picks up to .75% from -1.6% in Q2

We lowered the policy interest rate to 2.25%. We see that the current policy rate is about at the right level to keep inflation close to the 2% target while helping the economy through this period of structural adjustment.
