Taza Park is a strong example of what’s possible when development is led by partnership, purpose, and long-term vision.
This project goes beyond buildings and infrastructure. Through a true 50/50 partnership between the Tsuut’ina Nation and Canderel, Taza is showing how Indigenous leadership, shared governance, cultural stewardship, and disciplined ex*****on can come together to shape a community with lasting economic and social impact.
This is a thoughtful case study on how real estate can create value while staying grounded in place, identity, and community.

Westmount Guarantee was pleased to attend the topping-off celebration for Cielo Condos at 300 Bloor Street West.
Rising in the heart of the Annex, the project brings together new residential density, heritage restoration, and community space through the integration of Bloor Street United Church and the George C. Pidgeon House.
Congratulations to the full project team, partners, consultants, and trades on reaching this important construction milestone. We look forward to seeing Cielo take shape as a meaningful addition to one of Toronto’s most established neighbourhoods.

We stopped by Leaside Common to get a true on the ground read of the neighbourhood and the project’s positioning.
What stands out immediately is the location. This is Leaside at its most connected, with the future Leaside LRT Station at Bayview and Eglinton just steps away, plus everyday essentials, restaurants, parks, and schools all within easy reach. It has that rare mix of quiet, established residential streets and real transit access that changes how people live day to day. On the building side, Leaside Common is a 9 storey boutique condominium with a strong mid rise presence and a design that leans into the neighbourhood’s character. The BDP Quadrangle architecture and the dual tone brick façade give it a refined, modern masonry feel that still belongs in Leaside.

At the foot of Yonge, Toronto once met the lake in a very different way.
Now, that same waterfront edge is being explored as the site of a possible new marine terminal, one that could reshape how people arrive in the city while reconnecting this historic spot to Toronto’s future.
A compelling story of waterfront history, infrastructure, and what comes next.

A new pedestrian bridge is set to become one of the most striking links in Toronto’s waterfront transformation.
Connecting downtown to Ookwemin Minising and Biidaasige Park, the Keating Channel Pedestrian Bridge will do more than create access to the Port Lands , it will shape the arrival. Even the names of the places it leads to, “place of the black cherry trees” and “sunlight shining toward us,” give the project a stronger sense of place.
Add in Northern Ontario steel, fabrication in Nova Scotia, and delivery by barge, and this becomes more than infrastructure. It becomes part of the story of Toronto’s next waterfront chapter.

A creative response to a familiar market challenge.
High Art Capital has launched a $1.3 billion fund to acquire unsold condo units across the GTA and convert approximately 2,200 of them into market-rate and affordable rental housing. As developers and investors look for ways to respond to softer condo absorption and persistent rental demand, this model stands out as a pragmatic example of market adaptation.
For leaders across real estate, development, and construction, it’s another reminder that today’s constraints can also create tomorrow’s opportunities.

Few architects have a visual language as recognizable as Douglas Cardinal.
With flowing forms, landscape-driven design, and a body of work that includes the Canadian Museum of History and the original concept for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian, Cardinal helped shape a more organic and place-connected approach to architecture.
A powerful figure to spotlight in any conversation about Canadian architecture, Indigenous design influence, and buildings that leave a lasting impression.

A recent site visit to Capitol Residences offered a look at a project connecting new development with a notable piece of Midtown Toronto history.
Located on the former Capitol Theatre site at Yonge and Castlefield, the 14-storey building incorporates heritage elements that carry forward a local landmark while contributing to the neighbourhood’s next chapter.
The building also features extensive private terraces and oversized balconies, giving residents the opportunity to admire views of the city and nearby parks that Midtown Toronto has to offer.
It is a thoughtful example of how contemporary construction can work alongside preservation, with history, design, and city-building all part of the same conversation.
