Designating a contingent beneficiary is often overlooked but it is crucial in estate planning.
If your primary beneficiary passes before you, the contingent beneficiary becomes the primary beneficiary and therefore ensures your assets are properly distributed, avoiding probate.
This step provides clarity and security, ensuring efficient estate settlement and avoids additional costs.
We encourage you review your registered accounts and insurance policies to determine if a contingent beneficiary has been designated.

June is RJ Cares month, a time where we as a firm focus on giving back to the communities we are present in. Member's of The Ortencio & Associates team did their part by volunteering their time at the salvation army sorting center where we organized and packaged food to be sent to those who need it most.
