We couldn’t be happier with how these custom golf towels for the 2026 Jack’s Junior Classic turned out. A huge thank you to Kiersten Holmes for designing them and to Big North Graphics for bringing them to life!

Every golfer in the Beginner Division will receive one as a keepsake from the tournament, while the top three teams in both the Novice and Intermediate Divisions will take one home as part of their prize package.

Looking forward to handing these out tomorrow!

One of the most rewarding parts of this profession is seeing people you’ve mentored grow into exceptional advisors.

Casey worked directly with Jonathan through a mentorship program early in her career, and it’s been a pleasure watching her continue to grow.

I’m incredibly proud to share that I’ve officially earned my Qualified Associate Financial Planner™ (QAFP®) designation.

This milestone represents a year and a half of commitment, discipline, and growth. It meant early mornings before work, late nights after long days, and consistently choosing to invest in my education. While the journey wasn’t always easy, every challenge reinforced why I started in the first place.

I’m deeply grateful to my family, friends, and everyone who encouraged and supported me along the way.

For me, earning the QAFP® designation is about much more than adding credentials after my name. It’s about strengthening my ability to serve my clients with confidence, knowledge, and thoughtful financial planning. I believe my clients deserve advice that’s backed by continuous learning and a genuine commitment to helping them achieve their goals.

This is a milestone I’m proud of, but it’s also a reminder that growth never stops. I’m excited to continue learning, evolving, and providing the highest level of service to the individuals and families who place their trust in me.

“We’ll figure it out later.”
“The farm will pass to the kids.”
“There’s more than enough.”

Then suddenly:
• A massive tax bill
• Not enough cash
• Pressure to sell land
• Unequal inheritances
• Family conflict nobody saw coming

What’s fair is not always equal. And those conversations get very real, very fast.

Life insurance creates immediate liquidity without forcing the sale of farmland, equipment, or assets the family spent generations building.

The worst time to build a succession plan is when health changes, options disappear, or emotions are already involved.

If your transition plan only exists in your head, you do not have a plan yet.

Here’s the issue with traditional creditor insurance on farm debt:

The insurance pays the lender directly. That may clear the loan, but it can limit how much control the family and farm corporation have afterward.

A properly structured corporate-owned life insurance strategy can create far more flexibility:
• Protect the operation
• Preserve working capital
• Potentially create Capital Dividend Account (CDA) credits
• Allow surviving family members to make decisions based on what’s best for the farm, not just the lender

The difference between “loan protection” and “business protection” becomes very real and this is why insurance planning for farms and incorporated businesses needs to go deeper than simply checking a box at the bank.

If you own a farm or business corporation, it’s worth reviewing how your current coverage is actually structured.
