🚨 Today is Test Your Smoke Alarm Day! 🧯

Every year, thousands of people are saved because their smoke alarms beeped early — giving them precious seconds to get out safely. But many home fires result in injury or loss because smoke alarms were missing or not working.

That’s why the Saved by the Beep campaign encourages everyone across Ontario to test their smoke alarms on September 28 and make it a monthly habit.

Here’s why this matters:
✅ Smoke alarms give you an early warning — when a fire starts, you may have less than a minute to escape.
✅ Testing your alarms only takes seconds but could save lives.
✅ Batteries should be replaced at least once a year, and alarms replaced every 10 years.

Take a moment today to press the test button on every alarm in your home. If it doesn’t beep, replace the batteries or the alarm itself.
