The suits came out, the hardware was handed out, and the 2026 Mortgage Awards of Excellence are officially in the books! 🏆✨

While we didn’t bring the trophy back to Sackville this time, I am incredibly grateful to have been named a finalist for the Regional Broker/Agent – Eastern Canada Award of Excellence. It was fantastic to see the industry come together to recognize so many hard-working professionals across the provinces.

Being recognized for community contribution and relationship-driven service means the world to me, because that’s exactly what do at United Mortgage Alliance — and even without a trophy, we still have a lot to show for it. Sponsoring local sports, supporting the IWK, 3D printing keychains, and training new, inspiring brokers will always be our main priority.

Happy Birthday to Grayson! My boy was 6 turning 7 and had a soccer themed party last weekend. We turned the whole back yard into a field and borrowed some pinnies from our soccer team (thanks again!).

What was planned as a 2 hour party turned into a whole day of soccer games. I can prove it by the sunburn on my head. Hope you had a great day Grayson! 🎂

This chess set has been sitting on my to-print list for around a year and I finally got it all done. Now, I've probably played less than 50 games of chess in my whole life, but still wanted to play a round with the new set. I challenged Marketing to a game and I learned two things:

1. The set looks great on the table, especially in the United colours. 😉

2. Apparently castling is a real chess move. I thought maybe she was making up rules on the spot, but a quick Google search proved me wrong. 🤷

I'm not exaggerating when I say that one of our children always has some sort of sporting event or practice happening. I do hope this sets them up to find a sport they enjoy enough to continue playing as adults, even just for fun.
