💥 Why Are Your Brakes Squeaking? 🚗🔊 4 Common Reasons!

Ever hit the brakes and heard an embarrassing shriek? 🫣 Here is what your car is trying to tell you:

1️⃣ Morning Moisture 🌦️

The Cause: Light rust from overnight rain or dew.

The Fix: Harmless! The noise will go away after braking a few times.

2️⃣ Worn-Out Brake Pads ⚠️

The Cause: Built-in wear indicators (metal tabs) are rubbing the rotor because your pads are too thin.

Baking in a hot car? 🥵 Do this to cool down TWICE as fast! 👇

Don’t just jump in and blast the A/C with the windows up—that actually traps the heat and strains your system! 🙅‍♂️

Try the Pro-Mechanic Method instead:
1️⃣ Pump the heat out: Roll down the passenger window and swing the driver’s door open and close 5 times to push the hot air out.
2️⃣ Vents on Max (No A/C): Start driving for 1 minute with windows cracked and the fan on maximum Fresh Air mode to clear out the hot ducts. 🌬️
3️⃣ Blast the A/C: Roll the windows up, hit the ‘A/C button’, and switch to Recirculate mode** for instant ice-cold air! ❄️

3️⃣ Insert it straight into your tire’s deepest tread groove.

The Verdict:
🔍 Can you see the outer silver ring? If yes, your tread is less than 4mm. It’s losing its grip, and it might be time for a replacement to stay safe on wet roads! ❌

⚠️ Why does brake fluid need to be changed?
Brake fluid naturally absorbs moisture from the air over time. When the water content exceeds 3%:

Heavy or continuous braking (especially on highway road trips or long hills) generates intense heat, turning that moisture into gas bubbles.

Gas can be compressed, which makes your brake pedal feel spongy or soft, and in worst-case scenarios, can lead to temporary brake failure! 😱

🔍 How to tell if it's time for a check?
