Times have definitely changed. 😂
No side-view mirrors, barely any safety technology, and driving looked VERY different back then.
Cars have evolved. Roads have evolved. Insurance has too.

Someone walked into the office today and asked me this exact question 👀🇺🇸

“If I travel to the U.S. without my car, does my Ontario auto insurance still protect me or do I need to purchase travel insurance 🤔

Your Accident Benefits may still respond if you're injured as a passenger in someone else's vehicle, or even as a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. Your Ontario auto policy can cover insured persons for incidents in both Canada AND the United States. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

Moral of the story: your auto insurance can do a lot more than just protect your car.

Know your coverage before you cross the border. 👀

The average Canadian household spends roughly $3,500 a year on insurance.

Over 30 years, that's more than $100,000.

And here's the crazy part:

Most people couldn't explain what half the coverages on their policy actually do.

You'll spend six figures protecting your cars, your home, your health and your family...

but you'll spend 30 seconds looking at the policy and pick whichever number is cheapest.

If you're going to spend $100,000 on something, you should probably know what you're buying.

Insurance companies don’t always reward loyalty — sometimes they price your complacency. 📈

Insurers use sophisticated pricing models, and staying with the same company year after year doesn’t automatically mean you’re getting their best price.

Funny how phone companies figured this out too: price goes up, you finally leave… then suddenly there’s a “win-back” offer. 😂

Loyalty isn’t a discount. Shop your insurance.
