Although the end point of this article is to have the Canadian government make changes to its health care, as they should, several of my clients offset these type of potential financial setbacks with a product called Critical Illness insurance. Me, my wife, Stacey Shearer and our son, all have this coverage "just in case". We all also have a rider on our policies called return of premium.
