Kinda chic to buy life insurance... I know, of all the things you expected to see on your doom scroll today, life insurance probably wasn't it. But hear me out.

Kinda chic to make sure your kids are financially okay if something happens to you.

Kinda chic to make sure your spouse doesn't have to figure out how to pay the mortgage alone.

Kinda chic to have enough coverage to protect the life you've spent years building.

Kinda chic to have critical illness insurance because sometimes the financial crisis isn't dying — it's surviving a serious illness and suddenly not being able to work the way you used to.

Kinda chic to stop saying, “I have coverage through work, so I'm good,” without actually knowing what that coverage is.

Kinda chic to stop putting off the conversation because talking about death feels uncomfortable.

And honestly?

Kinda chic to have someone else do the shopping for you.

That's one of the reasons I became an independent insurance broker.
I work with 20+ insurance companies, so instead of you calling company after company trying to figure out what's available, I can shop around for you.
Your job is to tell me about your family, your finances, your goals and what keeps you up at night.

My job is to help you figure out what kind of protection makes sense — and then shop the market for options that fit.

I didn't become an insurance advisor because I thought insurance was exciting. I became passionate about helping people protect the lives they're working so hard to build. And after spending the last year changing my own life one small decision at a time, I've become even more convinced that big financial goals don't happen because we suddenly become perfect at money. They happen because we make one smart decision. Then another. Then another.
Getting life insurance can be one of those decisions.

So yes…
It's kinda chic to protect your people... and also kind of the bare minimum we own to the ones we love.

If you live anywhere in Ontario and want to find out what your life and critical illness insurance options actually look like, email me at [email protected] to book a FREE consultation.
You bring the questions. I'll bring the spreadsheets.

One of the biggest lessons I've learned is this:

You don't need the A+ version. You just need the C+ version to begin. Somewhere along the way, we've convinced ourselves that if we can't do something perfectly, we shouldn't do it at all. So we overthink, research endlessly, and tell ourselves we'll deal with it "next month."

I see this all the time with life insurance and critical illness insurance.

People know they need it, but the choices feel overwhelming.

"Which company is best?"

"How much coverage do I need?"

"Should I get term or permanent?"

"What if I make the wrong decision?"

So... they do nothing.

Imagine you needed a vehicle to get to work.

Sure, a brand-new Bentley would be incredible. But if buying the Bentley means you never buy a vehicle at all, while a reliable Honda gets you where you need to go every day... which one is actually the better choice?

The Honda isn't flashy.

It isn't perfect.

But it gets the job done.

Insurance is no different.

Your first policy doesn't have to be perfect. It doesn't have to cover every possible scenario. It just needs to protect your family today.

As life changes, you can review it, increase it, add critical illness coverage, or upgrade your protection. Policies should evolve as your income, family, and goals evolve.

But you can't improve a plan that doesn't exist.

The biggest risk isn't buying "too little."

The biggest risk is having nothing at all.

If the unexpected happened tomorrow, your family wouldn't benefit from all the research you planned to do. They only have the protection you actually put in place.

So if insurance has been sitting on your to-do list because it feels confusing, give yourself permission to stop chasing perfection.

Do the C+ version.

Buy the Honda.

Get something affordable that fits your budget and protects the people you love.

You can always make it better later.

Progress will always protect your family better than perfection ever will.

The most boring thing about you is probably your net worth.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by money, remember: a number on a financial statement doesn't define your worth as a person.

And if you've been avoiding conversations about life insurance, saving, or investing because you're embarrassed or don't know where to start, my inbox is always open.

No judgment. No shame. Just honest conversations and a plan to help you move forward.

Some folks, too many, in my opinion, already have a difficult time talking about death or life insurance and often wait too late. Add to that the often poor opinion or stereotype of the "door to door insurance sales man" and toss in ads like this, and we are only accomplishing further pushing people out of having conversations that they need to have and legitimately could save their families a lit of heartache and financial stress.

There is nothing here in this ad that is incorrect, but it eludes to the boyfriend - and maybe you - thinking that this company would save you money. The truth is, all men, when compared to women of the same age and health, will pay more for their life insurance because, statistically, men die at a younger age than women. Women almost always pay higher costs when buying disability insurance because, statistically, they have a higher rate of becoming disabled.

Make sure you are working with a trustworthy independent professional like myself who doesn't rely on tricks to get you in the door or buying coverages.

The world feels heavy right now. You can feel it in conversations, in the news, in the quiet moments in between.

And it’s exactly why I do what I do.

I don’t just “sell” life insurance. I sit with families and help them protect what matters most.
I help parents make sure their children are taken care of, no matter what.
I help couples stay in their homes—even if life takes an unexpected turn through loss or critical illness.

This work isn’t about policies. It’s about people. It’s about love, security, and showing up for the ones who count on you.

But today, I also want to remind you of something just as important…

Step outside.
Touch grass.
Call your people and tell them you love them.
Laugh a little longer than usual.

Because at the end of the day, this is what we’re protecting. 🤍
