Bank of Canada Rate Announcement - September 6, 2023

As many predicted, the Bank of Canada has held the key lending interest rate today.

There was some weaker-than-expected economic data last week which likely sealed the deal to hold the rates today!

Economists are still mixed in their opinions about future rate hikes.
Not everyone is convinced that this may mark the end of the current rate-hike cycle.

Rates continue to be high with both Fixed and Variable mortgages.
If you mortgage is coming up for renewal in the next 6 months, now is the time to start looking at options. Do not sign back your current lenders renewal offer without checking out your options first. My goal is to assist you with the best available rates that we have at this time.
