Make some swap cards with me using the Painted Patch suite from the upcoming Sept-Dec catalogue! These are the steps I take any time I need to make a large quantity of one card design.

🎃 for this swap I needed 16 cards
🎃 colour combination was taken from the DSP
🎃 the pimplin stamps, masks & dies all coordinate to make stamping,colouring & cutting out quick & easy! The dies also cut out images from the DSP......versatility for the win!
🎃 colours used: Calypso Coral, Cajun Craze, Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Secret Sea
🎃 everything, except the Secret Sea ribbon, is from the Painted Patch suite

I love doing swaps because I got so many beautiful ideas/cards back. Have you ever participated in a swap?

Have you ever heard of sending someone a little box of sunshine? Its a sweet package of yellow, fun stuff to help lift someone’s spirits.

I have a friend who has been going through it the last while. She lives in Ontario so I don't get to see her in person much, but I got to see her last week at a conference so I knew I had to do something special for her!

This was her box of sunshine and inside was a little yellow candle, some candy with yellow wrappers, yellow bath salts, yellow post-its and a yellow pen! She LOVED it! The new gable boxes are absolutely perfect for a little gift like this!

Do you struggle making masculine cards? Here are my top tips.....

🚹 Colours matter! Choose colours that are traditionally more masculine...think grays & blues, browns, greens with a pop of a brighter colour like red, orange or yellow. Rich & neutral tones instead of pastels!
🚹 Does your guy have a fav sports team? Use team colours for your card!
🚹 Don't shy away from ribbon! Instead of bows & ruffles, use ribbon in layers and tie knots.
🚹 Generally embellishments that aren't sparkly or glittery work on most masculine cards.
🚹 Geometric patterns for the win!
🚹 Nature images like trees and leaves make good generic masculine cards.

I made a super cute (and simple) little gift for a great friend I'm staying with this weekend!
