There is a great deal of confusion about what whole life insurance is. In a word, Security.
One can not overstate the investment value of whole life insurance. In good times and in bad, a product that increases in value with a vested savings component that only ever increases, is creditor proof, and can be borrowed upon. Not to mention protect your family, provide tax free growth, and provide income in retirement.

With the volatility in the markets over the last few years. I would put whole life insurance right up there equal to or greater than a paid off home.
