Every household seems to have one.

The bill payer.

The spreadsheet person.

The big-picture thinker.

The one who asks, “Didn’t we already pay that?” 😅

And honestly, there’s nothing wrong with that.

Couples don’t need to approach money the same way.

One person might naturally take the lead, while the other cares more about where everything is heading.

Different roles can work really well.

The important part?

Neither person should be completely out of the loop.

Both should understand the plan, know where the important information lives and feel clear about what they’re working toward together.

We don’t approach everything the same way.

And we think that’s a good thing.

We each bring a different perspective to the table, but when it comes to working with people, we’ve always been aligned.

Listen first.

Ask the questions that help us understand what’s really going on.

Take the time to learn what matters, what’s causing stress, and where someone wants to go next.

And above all, treat the people we work with the way we’d want our own families to be treated.

That common ground is a big part of what brought us together.

Two perspectives can lead to better questions, better conversations, and a more complete view of what’s ahead.

Some milestones feel different once you’re actually living them.

For us, this is one of them.

There were plenty of conversations, decisions, ideas and what-ifs that happened before Harbour Valley ever had a name on the door.

Now, we get to walk through that door every day.

There’s a lot we’re looking forward to.

Growing together.

Continuing to work with people and families we’ve built relationships with over the years.

Meeting new ones.

And seeing where this next chapter takes us.

We spend a lot of our time helping people turn future goals into something they can actually work toward.
