Thanksgiving was celebrated back in Italy as Nonnu Salvato brought his American customs to his homeland. His favorite desert was apple pie. 24 local apples went to make each apple pie. Local pumpkins were for the pumpkin pies. Of course no festivity is complete without “pane”. Below are focaccia with garden herbs and multi grain bread from Pan d’Pin.
