Cost per linear foot for 3 types of fencing
-PT wood fencing with 4x4 posts $27+HST per Linear Foot
-Basic white vinyl fencing 5x5 posts $57+HST per Linear Foot
-Fancy white viny fencing 5x5 post $60+HST per linear Foot

TIP: if you install your concrete piers 3-4 inches above ground in 1/3 of a sonotube and "dome" the top of the concrete so water sheds off, your posts should last around 15 years in a Southern Ontario Canadian winter. Downside for some is you see the piers. I don't mind them. For 100 LF of fencing, the savings are $3000+HST if using PT wood vs vinyl. On a flip, the extra money you saved could be used to invest in a really good air exchanger or whole house HEPA air cleaner, interconnected smoke detectors, a beam that opens up the main floor, etc. Our aim is HEALTHY, HAPPY HOMES!

Vinyl does last longer but the upfront costs are usually hard to justify for most single family starter home flips. For this reason, we've decided to install PT wood fence over vinyl fencing on our flips.
