Sai Dham is the only Food bank that operates round the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Sai Dham’s service projects have grown and now cover many different programs like emergency food hampers, monthly food deliveries, Seniors wellness, Feeding the homeless, providing nutritious breakfast for kids from low income neighbourhoods.
What you will be doing:
· Process Payroll on a bi-weekly basis;
· Responsible for the full AP/AR process;
· Reconcile vendor accounts, including visa statements – monthly;
· Correspond with vendors/donors and respond to AP and AR related inquiries;
· Assist with month-end closing – which includes reviewing invoices; Banking - knowledge of Budget -:
· Maintain confidentiality of organization information;
· Gather, organize, and update information;
· Document and communicate effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement;
· Be familiar with applicable Health & Safety legislation and requirements, compliance audits and inspections;
· Facilitate investigations and root cause analysis;
· Identify Health & Safety hazards, conduct Health & Safety risk assessments, and assist in the implementation of appropriate measures for risk mitigation;
· Work with supervisor to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all accounting related tasks;
What we are Looking For:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Bookkeeping role and Accounts Payable;
· Experience using QuickBooks online;
· Knowledge of Health & Safety processes, procedures and methodology;
· Experience in developing training programs;
· Associate degree in accounting, Bachelor’s Degree with major course work in accounting or business administration preferred;
· Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Excel (intermediate);
· Demonstrated efficiency with the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions;
· High attention to detail;
· Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, deadlines and workday to accomplish tasks efficiently;
· Experience with HR related tasks as time sheet management, scheduling, HRIS applications and employment enroll;
· Excellent written skills for reports, correspondence, procedures, and training material.
