As 2022 comes to an end I wanted to take a moment and express my gratitude to all those who make an impact in my life.

To my realtors, colleagues, lawyers, and all my other partners for your continued support. It’s because of you that 20 years later, I’m still doing what I love.

To my clients for putting your trust in me to help you finance your first home, your cottage, a home for your kids, parents or build your investment portfolio. I am so thankful to help you with your home ownership journey and provide advice to help you reach your goals.

To my friends, I’m so blessed to have you all in my life making memories that will last a life time. I really got lucky in the friend category.

And to my family; my husband and kids. You are my why for everything I do. I’m so grateful for your love and support.

When you can’t see the sunshine, be the sunshine 🌞

Earlier this school year my Son asked if he could bring some extra strawberries and a smoothie to someone in class. I said sure, and asked who it was for. He told me about a boy who never had fruit or vegetables or “anything healthy” in his lunch. He has “two boxes of koolaid, and a cupcake”. He said his family doesn’t have a lot of money and he often misses school because they don’t have food.

Did you know:

🌞 Before COVID-19, 1 in 5 children lived with food insecurity, and stats are beginning to show that this number is now closer to 1 in 3.

🌞 Children who live in a food insecure household tend to develop mental health problems like hyperactivity and inattention. Student Nutrition Programs help to aid these issues by providing access to nutritious food for all students.

🌞 In 2021, over 47,000 students had access to over 1,245,000 nutritious meals and snacks through our 103 supported Student Nutrition Programs.

🌞 A $50 donation will provide 15 local elementary students with a healthy meal when they arrive at school

The Food For Friends program with is just one of the amazing programs they offer that helps raise money to support youth that are struggling with food insecurity.

As a long supporter of this foundation in our community I have seen the impact their programs have had helping families in need and today, I’m asking for your help to please consider a donation if you can to the Food and Friends program. No child should have to go hungry.

The Bank of Canada today increased its target for the overnight rate to 3¾%, with the Bank Rate at 4% and the deposit rate at 3¾%.
