Avoid on-trail mishaps with these safety tips

Whether you're heading out for hunting season, exploring new terrain, or returning to a favourite trail, preparation helps make every ride safer. Before heading out, plan your route, check trail conditions and inspect your ATV.

On the trail:

- Wear a helmet and protective gear

- Ride at a safe speed

- Stay on maintained routes

- Carry no more than the maximum number of passengers for your vehicle

- Ride with others

- Carry emergency supplies

- Avoid alcohol and cannabis

In honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, this year we joined our partners at First Nations University for their annual Smudge Walk.

Together, we honoured Survivors, the children who never returned home, and their families and communities while reflecting on the ongoing impacts of the residential school system and the importance of continued learning.

Our commitment to reconciliation extends far beyond today. We will continue working alongside Indigenous Peoples and communities, turning understanding into meaningful action.
