Hi Guelph neighbours and friends,
The development below is off Victoria and will impact the natural surroundings of the neighborhood as mentioned in the petition.
But the bigger problem is the builder business doings in our city, their unethical practices should not be tolerated in this community. This builder sold homes and terminated contracts after one year of surreal real estate prices, they claim that financing needed to build our homes wasn’t achieved and that they couldn’t sell 75% of the current phase of the development, which they stop selling and never advertised prices for. They also have not cooperated providing us any proof of their claims. Now they have financing for this massive building on a small lot with not enough parking… they are trying to squeeze every sqft out of their land for profit and in the process cancelling at least 15 contracts that we know of which are not on the location of the building.
I believe they hope to resell our homes for about 30% more and move on but it is just wrong and unacceptable, we are facing our first legal battle and unfortunately many families couldn’t join due to the legal cost.
I need your help signing the petition below and if you can sending an email to the contact below [email protected] with the city of Guelph by April 8th if you agree that this is unacceptable in our city.
They should go buy another lot for the building in this crazy real estate market and have a taste of their own medicine. They have owned this lot for a long time and have waited a long time for maximum profits but it is still not enough.
