Yesterday was one of those days that reminds you how valuable great people and strong community connections really are.

I had the pleasure of golfing with John Aarssen, Stephanie Millar of First Optometry, and Jeff Howard from Habitat for Humanity at the St. Thomas & District Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament.

A huge thank you to Mother Nature for delivering perfect weather and creating the backdrop for a fantastic day. The company was exceptional, the conversations were inspiring, and the networking was truly at its finest.

As for the golf... let's just say there's plenty of room for improvement! Thankfully, the friendships, connections, and laughs more than made up for any missed shots.

Grateful for a wonderful day spent with amazing people and proud to be part of such a supportive business community.

**This weekend, I tried something new.**

If I'm being honest, it brought a little anxiety with it.

I could tell Zoey was a bit nervous at first too, but she was an absolute trouper. Before long, we found our rhythm and were sailing along. โ›ต

John, on the other hand, never had a doubt. He had full faith that our maiden voyage was going to be spectacularโ€”and he was right. It was an incredible experience.

It got me thinking about how often this happens in business and in life. So many of the things that help us grow feel intimidating before we begin. Meeting that first client. Delivering a presentation to a group. Launching a new service. Having a difficult conversation. Taking the leap toward a big goal.

The anticipation is often far scarier than the reality.

Once we take that first step, we realize many of the fears were only stories we created in our minds. Growth lives just beyond our comfort zone.

As we head into a new week, here's to embracing new adventures, challenging ourselves, and pursuing those business goals we've been putting off.

You may just discover that what seemed scary at first becomes one of your most rewarding experiences.

This week, Zoey completed her 6-week training program with AK9 Canada, and I couldnโ€™t be happier with the experience. What stood out most was the hands-on, personalized approach they gave every student and owner.
