does NOT re-test drivers based on their age. There is FALSE information circulating that Manitobans over the age of 70 must comply with new testing requirements. MPI is not changing any policies related to age-based testing.

For everyone’s safety, we have a Driver Fitness department that identifies and assesses drivers in Manitoba who may pose a risk to road safety, and the department will intervene when necessary. This program is delivered in a consistent and equitable manner, and is NOT based on age.
