As we ring in 2024, there are plenty of things to celebrate. If you plan to consume alcohol during the New Year festivities, please do not get behind the wheel of a vehicle to ensure the safety of you and others.

🥂 Arrange a designated driver who can get you home safe
🥂 Call for a taxi, Safe Ride Home, or take public transit
🥂 Arrange to stay overnight at the host's home
🥂 Have a friend or party host confiscate your keys when you arrive

The snowy weather is just around the corner, and so could a snow plow, salt or sand truck. Take a moment to review some of these snow plow safety tips to ensure you are staying safe on the roads. Be sure to share these tips with your friends and family!

Allow snow plows at least 10 car lengths in front of you. This will help you avoid collisions caused by poor visibility or flying debris that may damage your car.

For your own safety, NEVER pass a snow plow on the right. Only pass snow plows on the left IF they pull to the side allowing you to do so.

Be patient and slow down – snow removal vehicles move slower than regular traffic because they are bearing the brunt of the snow and ice on the road.

It may be frustrating to get stuck behind a plow, but remember they are making the roads safe for everyone.
