Last up in our series, is Kendra! Kendra is our Operations Manager who has been with the team since 2016. Here's a little more about her:

1. How do you like to spend your weekends?
- I love taking my dog Nelly for walks and golfing with my friends!

2. What's a hobby or interest you're passionate about outside of work?
- Curling, it's slightly more than a hobby/interest 😉

3. What's your favourite season?
- It's a tie between summer and fall. I love the warm weather and longer nights in the summer, but I love the beautiful colours in the fall!

4. Where do you want to vacation to next?
- I'd love to go back to Europe! Spain, Italy, UK, Croatia, Greece - I'd happily go anywhere!

Next up is Craig - one of our North Bay advisors. Here's a little more about him:

1. How do you like to spend your weekends?
- Most weekends I try to unwind at the cottage. I enjoy all 4 seasons and the outdoor activities that come with being there. Most days involve a little work but mostly fun. Followed by good food and friends relaxing at the end of the day sitting at the lake or a fire sharing how fortunate we all are.

2. What’s a hobby or interest you’re passionate about outside of work?
- I am passionate about golf. Just wish golf was as passionate with me as I am with it. Golf is the ultimate challenge. Both physical and mental. Every action you take on the course has an outcome. Not always the best outcome but still an outcome.

3. What’s your favourite animal?
- For sure I am a dog person. Every time you are with them, they just want have fun. They always want to do what you are doing. And if you are not with them they are happy to see you when you get home!

4. Where do you want to vacation to next?
- Just about anywhere in the world. I want to experience all different cultures and vistas. Travel is a challenge that is often exhausting with all the planning and getting from here to there, but rewarding. To get to know other parts of the world give you a better appreciation for how good we have it just at home!

On Wednesday, we celebrated National Administrative Professionals’ Day to show our appreciation for the amazing team who works tirelessly to keep our organization running smoothly!

We kicked things off with a delicious brunch at Beni’s, stopped at the Sudbury Women’s Centre to drop off physical donations, and wrapped up the day with a fun (and hilarious!) painting session where we created portraits of each other 🎨🖼️

It was a day full of laughs, gratitude, and well-deserved recognition! We’re so lucky to have such a hardworking, dedicated crew behind the scenes!

Next up is Keera! Keera has been working for DKB since 2003 and has seen the company grow from two advisors to the large work family that exists today! Here is a bit more about Keera:

What’s your favourite TV show, movie, or book?
- My favourite movie is Silence of the Lambs, favorite book is Swan Song written by Robert McCammon, and favorite TV show is a toss up between Breaking Bad and Dexter!

Where do you want to vacation to next?
- I would love to take a trip to the East Cost and explore parts of our own country (in the summer, of course!)

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
- Sky diving when I was younger. I think that was the biggest rush of adrenalin anyone could experience. Not sure that I’m still brave enough to do it again, but maybe if the opportunity came along!

What’s your favourite way to spend a rainy day?
- With a book under the gazebo, cooking, or binging a show with Caster at my side. Or visiting our new grandson Maverick.

What’s your favourite meal to cook or eat?
- My favourite meal to eat is a good Chicken caesar salad (I know, salad is weird and a favourite food), Rosie’s pasta or DUMPLINGS…mmmmm…..DUMPLINGS…..I feel like eating dumplings now!

How do you like to spend your weekends?

- I love spending time with my family on the weekends. Especially with Ollie our two year old labradoodle! We are early risers and love seeing the sun rise to start the day right.
