Whew! What a tax season! Thank you to everyone who entrusted me with your income taxes! I am taking a much needed break this weekend to recharge and spend some quality time with my family. I will not be monitoring emails or texts starting today at 2PM. I will return to regular office hours on Monday morning and respond to any messages at that time. Thank you for your understanding while I give my brain and body the break it is asking for!

Due to the very high demand of this tax season, I regretfully have to call it quits on accepting more tax clients for the 2026 tax season.

Thank you to everyone who has tagged me in the posts or given my information to your friends and family. Word of mouth is the best compliment for a small one person business like mine and I really appreciate the support. The sheer volume of clients coming is more than I ever imagined when I started my business 2 years ago. If next year is like this or busier, I will seriously have to consider hiring someone and opening a store front!

If you have an appointment booked with me for intake, your appointment is still good! If you spoke to me in the last week and were told I could help you, you are also still good to book your appointment.

Today is a busy day! Personal income taxes are due today. If you have a balance owing, you must file and pay today to avoid interest and penalties.

GST is also due to today for March, June, September, and December year ends. Remember to file your returns!

Today is the deadline for your RRSP contributions! If you have an RRSP and haven't maxed out your contributions for the 2024 tax year, today is the day! Slips for RRSP contributions come in two:
Remainder of tax year (2024)
First 60 days of the following year (2025)

You should see those slips starting to arrive mid to late March. Waiting for the first 60 days slip is worth the wait so make sure you get that slip before filing your 2024 income taxes.

Brushing up on my income tax knowledge! Full disclosure - business is my area of expertise. However, I have been asked many times about income tax options. As such, I will be offering an alternative to filing your income taxes this year!

Starting March 1st, you can contact me via phone, email, text, or FB to get an appointment for income tax. As I am home based, an appointment must be set up as I am limited to the amount of clients I can take per day.

I will also be limiting the returns I take to simple and intermediate returns only for this tax year. Our initial discussion to set up your appointment will determine if you are in these levels or advanced. If you are in the advanced territory, I will defer you to others who are better equipped to assist you.
