Tax refund and benefit scams are making the rounds again.

PAUSE & PROTECT: If you get a text saying “Your refund is ready—click to claim,” don’t click the link. The CRA doesn’t send text or email links to release your refund; they will only refund the account already on file.

Instead, type canada.ca into your browser yourself and check your CRA My Account. You can also forward suspicious texts to 7726 (SPAM) to report them.
