🎓🦌 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2026 OUTFITTER FINANCIAL SCHOLARSHIP WINNER — JOCELYN HAZEN!
For the fourth consecutive year, Outfitter Financial is proud to give back to the fishing and hunting community by awarding $2,500 toward the post-secondary education of a young angler and/or hunter.
This year’s recipient, Jocelyn Hazen, is a nursing student at the University of Toronto and a country girl at heart who loves spending time outdoors, especially hunting with her Dad.
Our scholarship is about more than academics. Applicants were asked to submit a 500-word essay or less describing how they had lived one or more of our five Outfitter Financial brand values over the past 12 months:
Respect for People | Respect for Nature | Student of the Game | Never, Ever Ego | Better Together
To bring an independent perspective from the outdoor community, we were proud to have Mike Miller, host of Angler & Hunter Television , serve as this year’s judge.
Daisy and I recently had the pleasure of meeting Jocelyn at our Managing General Agent’s office to present her with her $2,500 scholarship award.
As much as we would have loved to make the presentation somewhere in the outdoors, Jocelyn has already moved to the GTA and is getting ready to head back to school next week to continue pursuing her nursing degree.
Jocelyn, congratulations! We’re proud to support you and excited to see where this next chapter takes you.
