✨ BROKER SPOTLIGHT ✨
Meet Antoinette — a true example of determination, growth, and the power of saying “yes” to new opportunities.
After moving to New Brunswick, Antoinette built her career from the ground up — connecting through churches, NBCC, newcomer organizations, and her community while learning a new market, building relationships, and establishing trust along the way.
What started as a receptionist role quickly grew into something much bigger.
📚 Within one year, she became a Personal Lines Agent.
📈 After five years, she advanced into Commercial Insurance.
🎓 Along the way, she completed both her CAIB and CPIB designations — achievements she describes as some of the proudest moments of her career.
Now six years into the industry, Antoinette continues to grow, learn, and inspire others through her passion for client service and relationship-building.
Her favourite part of the industry?
💙 Helping people protect what matters most.
💙 Building meaningful relationships.
💙 Never stopping learning.
And her advice to anyone considering a career in insurance?
“Come in with an open mind. Be willing to grow within yourself, within the industry, and with the industry. Insurance is more about relationships than just making sales.”

🎓✨ National Broker Day Week Starts with Celebrating the Future. Last week, we had the privilege of recognizing the newest graduates of our professional designation programs at the 2026 IBANB Convocation & Awards Ceremony.
Behind every designation earned are evenings spent studying after work, exams written, challenges overcome, and a commitment to becoming the very best for clients and communities across New Brunswick.
These graduates represent the future of our profession—future leaders, trusted advisors, problem-solvers, and advocates who have chosen to invest in themselves and the people they serve.
As we count down to National Broker Day on June 3, we're reminded that strong brokers don't happen by chance. They are built through education, mentorship, experience, and a passion for helping others navigate life's unexpected moments.
Because being a broker is about more than insurance.

💜 It's about people.

IBANB on the Hill: New Brunswick Brokers Making an Impact. Last week, representatives from IBANB travelled to Ottawa to ensure the voice of brokers was heard loud and clear. New Brunswick may be one of Canada's smaller provinces, but when it comes to advocacy, collaboration, and leadership, we continue to punch above our weight.
Over two days, we met with five Members of Parliament, including:
✅ MP Richard Bragdon
✅ MP Mike Dawson
✅ MP Rob Moore
✅ MP John Williamson
✅ MP Wayne Long
We also had the opportunity to attend Question Period and witness Parliament in action. Our discussions focused on the issues that matter most to insurance brokers, consumers, and communities across New Brunswick, including:
🔹 The growing cost and frequency of catastrophic weather events and the need for stronger disaster mitigation strategies.
🔹 FireSmart and proactive wildfire prevention initiatives that help protect homes, businesses, and communities before disaster strikes.
🔹 The critical role brokers play in helping Canadians navigate an increasingly complex insurance marketplace.
🔹 The importance of maintaining a competitive and consumer-focused insurance distribution system.
🔹 Emerging challenges facing property and casualty insurance and the impact they have on affordability and availability of coverage.
🔹 The value independent insurance brokers bring to local economies and communities throughout New Brunswick.

Thank you to each of the Members of Parliament who took the time to meet with us, listen to our concerns, and engage in meaningful discussions about the future of insurance in Canada.

Today is the day — New Brunswick insurance brokers are on the Hill.
Our IBANB delegation is in Ottawa meeting with government representatives to advocate for the issues impacting brokers, consumers, and the future of our industry across New Brunswick. From affordability and accessibility to emerging industry challenges, these conversations matter — and we are proud to ensure the broker voice is being heard at the national level.
We are incredibly grateful to have a strong, engaged contingent representing New Brunswick brokers with professionalism, passion, and a commitment to protecting consumers and strengthening our industry.
