Did you know that only 58% of Canadians have life insurance? Are you part of the 42% that doesn't?
Many question whether or not they need life insurance. Here are a few quick questions to ask yourself:
Are you are married and your spouse depends on your income?
Do you have children?
Do you have an aging parent or disabled relative who depends on you for support?
Are your retirement savings and pension income enough for your spouse to live on?
Do you have a large estate and expect to owe estate taxes?
Do you own a business, especially if you have a partner?
Do you have a substantial joint financial obligation, such as a personal loan for which another person would be legally responsible after your death?
If you've answered yes to any of the above, you should have life insurance.
