I was lucky enough to have supported and worked with some of her amazing clients and sad to hear this news today. The industry has lost an amazing realtor and community member. Rest in peace 💐

It's a sad day for us, yesterday we lost a friend, co-worker and overall amazing person. Our thoughts are with Katrina's family at this time.

***IMPORTANT Update***

Launched in 2019 this federal program was designed to help qualified first time home buyers through a shared-equity mortgage with the government. Effective March 21, 2024 this program will dissolve! ✌️

I have had many inquiries regarding the impact of this program and rest assured it was actually not well used or applied. A very low percentage of buyers took interest in this and there are other programs that can be more valuable that are still available!

TD still offers other federal programs like Home Buyer’s Plan leveraging RSP’s and also the new First Home Savings Account! 🏠

As expected Bank of Canada has decided to hold for their first decision of 2024!!! This is welcome news alongside further hints that there will be no more increases this year 🤞

Fixed rates are falling and we anticipate this to continue. Although the drops will likely be gradual this is welcome news!

As we inch closer to spring we anticipate momentum and confidence to be expecting a busy traditional spring market!

This is a great time to reconnect as the recent drops in fixed rates can increase purchasing power!

I’m sure most can agree it’s certainly an interesting time in the Real Estate industry!
