Remembrance day has always been very impactful for me. Whether it was pausing to mourn those lost fighting for what they loved back home, listening to the bugle ring out the first and last post or hearing stories from family members of the brave ANZACs who joined their Canadian allies in Europe.
On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month; pause for a moment, be thankful for your family, your health and your home. As I am and remember them.
LAURENCE BINYON put it best in his poem "For the fallen"
"With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
