Case By Case Benefits would like to congratulate our Relationship Associate, Daniel Espelien, on being named to the Estevan Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors!

The Estevan Chamber of Commerce held its AGM yesterday, welcoming new board members and celebrating the leadership transition of key roles.

A big congratulations to all the new and returning board members, as well as to Tania Hlohovsky Andrist (President) and Ashley Galloway (Vice President) in their new roles!

We look forward to seeing the positive impact this team will make in the year ahead!

Would you be ok with a family losing a child within the first 14 days and not receive a dependant life insurance benefit?

There is a major problem with how Canadian group Dependent Life insurance contracts define eligible children, and it is time to come together as industry stakeholders to ensure we properly take care of young families.

It’s time to bring outdated legacy definitions up to modern standards, and to ensure that no one in the Canadian insurance industry going forward should ever need verify the number of hours or days lived to determine if an infant death qualifies for coverage under a Dependent Life benefit. We can do better.

Gavin Mosely , a member of Canadian Group Insurance Brokers, is doing something worthy of our support. Gavin has identified this important gap that has occurred for decades and needs to be corrected.
