Most business owners aren’t under-earning…

They’re leaking money in places they don’t see.

In many cases, it’s not a knowledge problem — it’s a coordination problem.

Investments, tax planning, and insurance are often handled separately, but no one is tying everything together into one strategy.

That’s usually where the inefficiencies are.

Had a great conversation with a business owner this week.

On paper, everything looked solid:

Good income
Investments in place
Insurance coverage set up

But when we zoomed out, a few things stood out:

→ Investments weren’t tax-optimized for a corporation
→ Insurance wasn’t aligned with long-term planning
→ No clear strategy tying it all together

This is more common than people think.

A lot of financial decisions get made in isolation—investment here, insurance there—without a cohesive plan.

Once we restructured things into a more integrated approach, it wasn’t about doing more…

It was about doing things better.

That’s usually where the real value is.

“The Tax Leak”
Most business owners aren’t under-earning…
They’re just leaking money in places they don’t see.
Over the past few years, I’ve noticed a pattern when I sit down with incorporated professionals:
→ Strong income
→ Solid savings habits
→ But no real structure behind it
And that leads to:
Paying more tax than necessary
Holding too much cash (or investing inefficiently)
Insurance that isn’t actually integrated into the plan
It’s not a knowledge problem—it’s a coordination problem.
When everything (corporation, investments, insurance, tax strategy) is working together, the difference is significant over time.
Not more risk.
Not more complexity.
Just better structure.
If you’re earning well but feel like things could be tighter behind the scenes, it’s probably worth a second look.

The U.S. economy continues to power ahead, transitioning from the shortest recession in its history firmly into expansion territory despite falling slightly short of expectations in the second quarter.
Equity markets are also entering a new mid-cycle phase.

In his latest commentary, Jeff Schulze examines the history to show how this shift could bring buying opportunities, and why there is still plenty of money to be made in these markets.

Consumer-fueled economy pushes U.S. GDP to 6.4% first-quarter gain

It marked the second-fastest pace for U.S. growth since the second quarter of 2003 and was exceeded only by the reopening-fueled burst of Q3 in 2020.

Initial jobless claims fell to a fresh pandemic-era low but were higher than expected.

Battle Brewing Among 1st North American Ether ETF's

A three-way battle is brewing in Canada as the first ether ETFs in North America began trading yesterday.

The Purpose Ether ETF (ETHH), Evolve’s Ether ETF (ETHR) and the CI Galaxy Ethereum ETF (ETHX) all got the green light from Canadian securities regulators to launch on the same day, leveling the playing field and giving each fund an opportunity to take the lead in this new category.

Ether is the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain, a platform for running a wide variety of decentralized applications.
