Universal Life or Whole Life for your child's policy? Here's the honest breakdown.

Whole Life is for families who want guarantees. Consistent premiums, a guaranteed death benefit, predictable cash value growth. Set it and forget it.

Universal Life offers more flexibility. Premiums can adjust, and growth depends on how the investment component performs over time.

There's no universal right answer. It comes down to whether your family values stability or growth potential more.

A serious diagnosis affects more than health. It touches income, travel, childcare, every plan you had for the year.

Critical Illness Insurance for kids pays a lump sum if your child is diagnosed with a covered illness, money that goes straight to your family so you can decide where it's needed most.

This kind of planning isn't about expecting the worst. It's about giving yourself room to focus on your child if the unexpected ever happens.

RESP or life insurance for your kid? You might be surprised to learn you don't have to choose.

Different tools, different gifts. For a lot of families, the answer is both.

When people hear "life insurance for kids," the first reaction is usually confusion. Fair enough, it's not the first thing that comes to mind when you picture your child's future.

But there's a version of this that has nothing to do with worst case scenarios. It's about locking in affordable coverage while your child is young and healthy, and building something that could support them decades from now.

This isn't a must have for every family. But once your own financial foundations are solid, it's worth understanding your options.

If you're newly walking into the role of caregiver, especially partner-caregiver, this post is for you. And it's said with so much care.

There is a financial layer to this season that nobody really prepares you for. Insurance policies that need to be located. Beneficiaries that need to be confirmed. Joint accounts that need to be understood. Documents that need to be in one place, gently, calmly, while there is still time.

This is not morbid work. It is loving work. It is the kind of preparation that means, when the harder moments come, you can be fully present for them. Not searching through filing cabinets.

If you're in this season, I work with women in exactly this place all the time. Please don't try to figure it out alone. Book a Clarity Call. Link in bio.

The retirement conversation most women have been handed is wildly unhelpful.

You need a million dollars by 65. Okay. Based on what? Whose lifestyle? Whose city? Whose tax bracket? Whose pension? Whose CPP and OAS?

The actually useful starting point is much simpler. What do you spend in a year, now? What will you spend in a year, in retirement? Multiply that annual spending by 25. That's your rough target. From there, we factor in everything else.

This isn't financial advice. It's a starting point. The real conversation is what your actual life looks like, what you want it to look like, and how the numbers can support it.

If your retirement plan so far has been hope it works out, let's give it a real structure. Book a Clarity Call. Link in bio.
