📢 The Bank of Canada has held its overnight rate at 2.25%.

While today's announcement didn't bring another rate change, the accompanying Monetary Policy Report painted an encouraging picture of Canada's economy.

The Bank noted that consumer spending has strengthened, employment has remained relatively stable, and business investment is beginning to improve. At the same time, underlying inflation continues to move closer to its 2% target.

So, what does this mean for homeowners?

For now, it suggests the Bank is taking a measured, wait-and-see approach rather than rushing to adjust interest rates. But remember—today's announcement is only one piece of the puzzle.
