September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Our office will be closed as we take time to reflect, learn, and honour the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the communities affected across generations.

Reconciliation is an ongoing responsibility, and today is an opportunity to listen, learn, and better understand the history and experiences of Indigenous peoples in Canada.

Every Child Matters.

Our office will reopen October 1.

Life insurance probably isn’t at the top of anyone’s September to-do list.

But that’s kind of the point of Life Insurance Awareness Month.

A lot can change in a few years: a new mortgage, kids, a business, higher income, or more people depending on you. If your life has changed, your coverage may need to change with it.

Our office will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, July 1, for Canada Day.

We’ll reopen Thursday, July 2, and will respond to messages as soon as we’re back in the office.

If you’re out celebrating, there are a few great local events happening around the area, including Canada Day activities in Didsbury, Olds, Carstairs, Airdrie, and Calgary.

Didsbury: The Didsbury Museum has Canada Day activities, birthday cake at 1 p.m., Legion involvement, museum exhibits, a moose naming raffle, kids’ souvenir activities, and a vendor market at Moose Fence Park from 12 to 4 p.m

Olds: Olds has kick-off fireworks tonight, June 30, at 11 p.m. at Rotary Athletic Park, then a July 1 parade at 10 a.m. and activities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Olds Sportsplex, including bounce houses, Super Dogs, free cookies/popcorn, vendors, and food trucks.

Carstairs: Carstairs has Canada Day celebrations July 1, including a bike parade at Memorial Park, games and activities from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and fireworks at the Carstairs Golf Course.
