Standard home or cottage insurance typically won’t cover a property being used for short-term rentals like Airbnb, especially if it has higher-risk features like a pool. 🏊‍♀️

❌ Airbnb’s “AirCover” also isn’t a replacement for proper insurance.

✅ If you’re renting out your home or cottage, you’ll likely need commercial liability coverage depending on how you’re set up.

✅ Check in with your broker. They’ll help make sure you’ve got the right coverage, meet safety and municipal requirements, and aren’t left exposed if something goes wrong.
