🚩 If someone tells you to move your money to a “safe account,” stop. 🚩

This scam can sound incredibly convincing. You may get a call from someone claiming to be from your bank, credit union, fraud department, or even law enforcement. They might know your name, mention suspicious activity on your account, and create a sense of urgency that makes it feel like you need to act immediately.

Then...they tell you to move your money somewhere “safe. Don’t do it.

A legitimate financial institution will never ask you to transfer your money to another account to protect it, secure it, or help with a fraud investigation. Scammers rely on panic and pressure to get you moving before you have time to question what is happening.

If something feels off, hang up. Then contact your financial institution directly using a phone number you already know and trust.

A few extra minutes of caution can protect you from a very expensive mistake. 🔐

Amazing work by these two, supporting the amazing work that the Cranbrook Food Bank is continually doing!! More than proud to play a small part in the huge effort taking place.

A huge thank you to Upasna and Halyna from StellerVista Credit Union for spending time with us! 💚

We were excited to welcome our very first StellarVista volunteer team, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! They packed an incredible number of grab-and-go food packs for our street outreach pantry and for the community partners who help get food into the hands of those who need it most.

We're especially grateful that this is just the beginning of a beautiful partnership. Two StellarVista volunteers will be joining us every month through the end of the year, and we couldn't be happier to have them as part of our volunteer family.

StellarVista has been a longtime champion of our community, supporting not only the Cranbrook Food Bank but so many local organizations. Partnerships like this remind us that when our community comes together, we can make an even bigger impact.
