Mentorship and relationship building have always been at the heart of Silver Path — and these values are even reflected in the history of our Cranbrook office, and how our team has evolved.
In 1980, a Cranbrook local named Walter became a Sun Life advisor, and in 1996, purchased a building in the heart of Cranbrook, at 305 Kootenay Street. That means this location has been a Sun Life office for 30 years!
In 2000, our founder Dave started his company with Clarica, through Mutual Life, which merged with Sun Life in 2003. At that point, Dave moved over to work with Walter.
When Walter retired in 2008, Dave bought the building and took over the bulk of his business. Walter’s greatest hope was to know his clients would be well cared for—that he could pass them in the street and feel confident they were in good hands. Thankfully, he can.
Over time, Dave began to share that same vision: creating a future where his clients would continue to receive the same care and attention they’ve always known. He formed Silver Path Financial Solutions Inc. in 2019, then welcomed Rachelle and Amanda to the team in 2021. Now that he’s formalized his own retirement plan (still several years away), Dave is confident that when the time comes, his clients will remain in excellent hands.
As part of this thoughtful transition, Dave’s clients will have the opportunity to build relationships with Rachelle or Amanda well before his retirement. Together, they will bring a combined 30 years of experience and a shared commitment to caring for clients. Just as Walter experienced before him, Dave can look forward to seeing familiar faces around Cranbrook, knowing they’re in trusted hands.
