Friday Family Fun!

We had such a great time at Fast Time Amusements in Parksville, enjoying an evening of family fun, laughs, and a little friendly competition! It was the perfect way to kick off the weekend.

A huge thank you to knappett_industries for hosting Family Day and creating an opportunity for families to connect and enjoy a fun night out together. Events like these are such a wonderful reminder that some of the best moments come from simply spending quality time with the people you love.

Many homeowners are surprised to learn that their home's assessed value and appraised value can be very different numbers.

📋 Assessed Value
This is the value assigned by your local property assessment authority and is primarily used to calculate your property taxes. It may not reflect current market conditions and is typically based on a valuation date from the previous year.

💰 Appraised Value
This is the value determined by a professional appraiser based on factors such as:
✔️ Recent comparable sales
✔️ Current market conditions
✔️ Property size and features
✔️ Condition and upgrades
✔️ Location

When you're purchasing, refinancing, or accessing equity in your home, lenders typically rely on the appraised value, not the assessed value.

👉 This means your home's market value could be higher (or lower) than what appears on your Property Assessment Notice.
