At Navacord Insurance Services British Columbia Inc., we believe education can transform lives and strengthen communities. That’s why we established our Indigenous Scholarship in 2021, as part of our organization's commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, and to recognize and commemorate the legacy of residential schools across Canada. Our scholarship supports Indigenous people in pursuing post-secondary education by reducing financial barriers.

This year’s recipient, Sarah Scow, is carrying forward the teachings of her family and community as she pursues a future dedicated to supporting Indigenous children, youth and families.

Last year, funds raised from the Comox Valley Charity Golf Tournament supported Tyler Turner on his journey to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympics. Serving as Team Canada’s co-captain, Tyler brought home a bronze medal in Para snowboard cross, adding a third Paralympic medal to a collection that already includes gold and bronze from Beijing 2022.

This year at the same tournament, some of our team members got the opportunity to golf with him!

It's a true honour to be the title sponsor of this empowering community event that continues to support local non-profits that strengthen the Comox Valley. This year we sponsored a hole at Campbell River Hospital Foundation's 'Golf. Because You Care' tournament, because we care about the health and well-being of the Campbell River community. Shoutout to Brendan Borg from our Willow Point branch for coming out to join us.

The tournament raised nearly $64,000 this year for the ICU and Emergency Departments at Campbell River Hospital, funding that we're certain will make a real difference for patients and their families.

We were proud to join M.O.S.A.I.C. for its 50 Years of Welcoming Newcomers Family & Friends Walkathon, celebrating five decades of supporting newcomers as they build their lives in Canada.

As one of Canada’s largest newcomer-serving organizations, MOSAIC provides settlement, employment, language and community services that help immigrants, refugees and newcomers find opportunities, access resources, and build a sense of belonging.

MOSAIC has also been a valued client of our Navacord Benefits Consulting & Financial Services team for the past 10 years, making it especially meaningful to celebrate this incredible milestone alongside them.

Congratulations to the MOSAIC team on 50 years of impact, community, and welcoming newcomers to Canada. We were honoured to be part of the celebration!
