Yesterday I spent time with a husband and wife who run a business together — and I mean together.

You could see it in how they move, how they finish each other's thoughts, how they look out for the same thing.

I got to talk to their staff too. Not because I had to. Because I wanted to.

I started N.A.C.C. Food Aid last year after seeing how many seniors in our community were falling through the cracks.

The cost of living keeps rising, and for too many of them, the system simply isn’t working.

This is my way of giving back during the holiday season — supporting seniors in Vaughan, the GTA, and surrounding areas with food and care when they need it most.

I’m looking for more partners, more collection locations, and more people who want to help make a real difference this year.

There are over 80,000 licensed rideshare drivers in Toronto alone. Under Ontario law, a standard auto policy does not cover drivers carrying passengers for compensation. They need a specific endorsement on their policy. Not every driver has it. So what happens when there's an accident? If that driver's insurance is voided because they never disclosed their rideshare work to their insurer, here's what most people don't realize:Under Ontario's Insurance Act (Section 268), as a passenger, your own auto policy is first in line to pay your Accident Benefits.Even though you weren't driving.

Today I turned another year older, and I spent my birthday exactly where I wanted to be — sitting across the table from the two people who matter most to me in this world. My daughters.❣️ My heart. My everything.Their card touched my soul in a way that reminded me why I work as hard as I do, why I never give up, and why I will always show up for them — no matter what. These two young ladies will never have to wonder if their father loves them. They will never have to question if someone has their back. As long as God gives me breath, I am theirs. I don't need grand gestures or expensive gifts. The best present I received today was their laughter, their company, and the look in their eyes that told me I was doing something right. To my girls — I love you beyond words. You make me want to be a better man every single day. Everything I do, I do for you. And to everyone who wished me a happy birthday — thank you sincerely. I am grateful to God for another year of life, for the lessons, for the growth, and for the people He has placed on my path. Blessed, grateful, and full of love tonight. LOVE DAD ❣️

But before you let your heart make the final decision, allow me to offer a piece of gentlemanly advice. In Ontario right now, the reality of high theft rates cannot be ignored. You might find yourself across the desk from a well-meaning salesperson who tells you, "Don't worry about the theft risk. Just install a TAG system or an anti-theft device, and you'll be perfectly fine. While I appreciate their optimism, and anti-theft devices are certainly a smart layer of security, that advice does not fix the underlying issue.
