Pumpkin spice? Easy decision. Your mortgage renewal, on the other hand, deserves a bit more thought.

When your term is coming up, renewing with the same lender may be convenient, but that doesn’t mean the renewal offer is automatically the best fit for you. Your finances, plans and the mortgage options available to you may have changed since your last term.

That’s where I come in. I can review your renewal offer, compare other lender options, look at what’s changed since your last term and help you decide whether renewing as-is, negotiating or switching makes the most sense for you.

Renewal coming up? Message me today and let me do the comparing before you commit to another term.

A down payment is more than a savings goal. For many homebuyers, it represents years of planning, saving and working toward a home purchase.

CMHC’s 2026 Mortgage Consumer Survey found that homebuyers took an average of 4.4 years to save for a down payment, up from 3.4 years in 2025. Among first-time buyers, 51% said savings were the largest part of their down payment.

Reaching that point takes a lot of work, and what comes next deserves the same level of thought and effort. Your mortgage should be approached with that same attention and intention.

You put years into building your down payment. Message me today and let’s make sure the same effort goes into what comes next.

It’s easy to fall in love with a home. It’s much better when you already know whether it fits your budget.

Getting a mortgage pre-approval before you start seriously house hunting can give you a better idea of how much you may qualify to borrow and help set a realistic price range for your search. That way, you can focus your attention on homes that make sense for your finances before the dream kitchen, perfect backyard, or ideal neighbourhood wins you over.

I can help you get the financing side organized first, so when you find a home you love, you’re better prepared for what comes next.

Before you fall for the house, message or give me a call, and get your mortgage pre-approval started.

The backpacks are packed, the school supplies are bought, and somehow summer flew by! Now that the kids are heading back to school, it’s the perfect time to take a look at your financial goals too. 😉

✅ Review your mortgage

No cut. No hike. Another hold.

The Bank of Canada has maintained its 2.25% policy rate, marking the seventh consecutive hold. For anyone buying a home or approaching a mortgage renewal, the decision offers another reason to take a closer look at current financing options.

Fixed or variable? There isn’t one rate type that’s right for every homeowner.

A fixed mortgage can offer greater payment predictability, while a variable mortgage may provide different flexibility and rate opportunities. The better fit depends on budget, goals, risk tolerance and plans for the years ahead.

Renewal approaching? Message me today to compare fixed and variable options before making the next move.
