🍂 NEW SEASON. NEW MORTGAGE STRATEGY. 🏡
Fall is here, routines are settling back in, and for many homeowners, mortgage renewal season is right around the corner.
The Bank of Canada held its policy rate at 2.25% this week, giving borrowers another reason to pause and take a closer look at what’s ahead. But a rate hold doesn’t mean you should simply accept the renewal offer that lands in your mailbox.
If your mortgage is renewing this fall or winter, here are a few things worth considering:
🔑 What rate are you being offered?
🔑 Is a fixed or variable mortgage right for you?
🔑 Does your current mortgage still fit your financial goals?
🔑 Could consolidating higher-interest debt make sense?
🔑 Are you planning to move, renovate or make a major purchase in the next few years?
🔑 Have you compared what other lenders can offer?
And remember — renewal is an opportunity, not an obligation to stay with your current lender.
Switching your mortgage to Scotiabank may be worth exploring, and I’d be happy to review your current mortgage, talk through your options and help you understand what makes the most sense for you.
📆 If your renewal is coming up in the next 4–6 months, now is a great time to start the conversation.
Don’t wait until your renewal paperwork is sitting in front of you. Know your options before you sign.
